TWENTY YEARS OF TRINITY

MEMENTO MORI

I'm a dinosaur - a cartoon character from another age, another era, another existence. I stand out because I didn't fit in. My kind is becoming extinct - the accent, the attitude, the gratitude. I'm glad I'm not a kid today. The confusion would kill me. What's your gender? Take a guess. Despite the drastic changes that have occurred over the years, there's one thing that remains the same - fighting. It's not if but when and not who but who wins. Bigger is better, might makes right. Too small? Too bad. Your future is in your fists. The gods have spoken. Then David fought Goliath and the Philistines didn't bet the wrong horse they bet the wrong God. David versus Goliath wasn't a story about a lucky shot, it was a story about what happens when you take faith and courage and wind up with bravery.

Train For It

Whatever voices in your head that told you to try boxing, listen to the one that mentioned REAL boxing, not that dolled up imitation to get you looking like Barbie and Ken. If you train that way you'll fight that way. Life is not a beauty contest.

The past 20 years have flown by and lasted forever. I knew little about business and had even less to show for it. I borrowed $100,000 from a downtown business organization trying to rebuild after 9/11 and opened a gym on May 10, 2004. This isn't a story about a lucky shot either. It's a story about believing in yourself, believing in the people you find yourself with and believing that maybe we're here for something bigger than paying bills or being happy. Forgo your ego, forge your identity, forget who you are and remember who you you always were - a Legend.
