Congratulations Jody!

Jody Weller is my new idol. I have never met someone so determined not just to fight, but to win, as Jody. It's not like she had to box, either. She's a medical researcher working on cures for various diseases, most of which I can't pronounce, much less spell. Despite a few setbacks, like tearing her ACL in last year's Nationals, she came back this year on a mission. Her persistence paid off. Last night Jody beat last year's champion to capture the 2007 Women's National 125 pound title in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Congratulations, kid, and congratulations to Luigi, who did a great job of training. A little belief goes a long way. You are both a true asset to boxing.
