"I walked into Trinity one Saturday afternoon after constantly being disappointed by trendy gyms in Manhattan and overcrowded cardio- kickboxing classes. I wanted a challenge, a guaranteed difficult workout and most of all, a feeling of satsifaction. I''ve always wanted to learn how to box, but had never really found a gym that would keep me coming back for more. This is the best workout I''ve ever experienced. Trinity has proven to exceed all of my expectations. I never thought I would have so much fun at a gym, while learning so much and working so hard. No other gym in Manhattan has dedicated trainers that are there to help achieve your goals. I''ve been a member for about six months now, working out usually early am. After each workout, I leave Trinity with a sense of accomplishment, a higher level of energy and a boost of confidence ready to begin my day!" Valerie Cordasco (Associate, Goldman Sachs)
"Five months ago I began looking for a gym in my neighborhood. At one of the gyms I visited, which shall remain nameless (OK it was Equinox), the girl that gave me the tour was wearing stiletto heels. I knew it was not the place for me. I decided to check out Trinity because it was so highly rated. As a 48 year old female who had never boxed before, I had some real concerns. I thought I was probably too old and too inexperienced. I showed up to check out the gym... on one of the rare holidays that gym was closed. John Snow was inside and saw me peering in. Despite the fact he was surely enjoying the day off, he opened the door and had me come in for a look around. That alone was pretty impressive. John put my fears to rest and even though earlier that day I had joined a different gym, which sall remain nameless (OK it was NY Sports Club) I decided to try 10 semi private sessions. Wow! I was hooked immediately. The professional trainersput me at ease right away. I never feel intimidated by them or by any other members at the gym, regardless of our respective skill levels. There is a real feeling of camaraderie and respect at Trinity. Though the trainers never push too hard, they have instilled in me a confidence that makes me want to go beyond my previously self- imposed limits. Although many years of distance running kept me in pretty good shape, I am shock at the improvement in my fitness level. I have lost weight, gained muscle and developed a mental toughness as well. My workout time is less than when I used to lift weights and work the machines (boring!) at a regular gym. And I''m having a whole lot more fun! I''m thrilled to train with Shamir at Trinity. His workouts are a blast and very inspirational. He makes me WANT to work hard. Shamir teaches in a way that makes sense to me with plenty of explanation, making the "Sweet Science" something i can understand and respect. Hats off to the new trainer Oleg at the gym too! Shamir and Oleg are a great combination. Ladies don''t be intimidated! I don''t feel one bit less feminine for the experience. You''ll be amazed at your comfort level. I would tell anyone considering joining Trinity Boxing Club that if you want to have fun, work your butt off, gain confidence and get into the best shape of your life- this is probably the place for you! P.S. I went to the other gym only once and have dumped my membership there!" - Ann McGuirl
"I started at Trinity Boxing Club in November 2006. I was 230 lbs with a 38 inch waist and my body fat was approximately 30%. At the age of 40, I thought I was typical for my age and there were not many changes that I could make. It has been just 6 months and what a difference! I have lost 48 lbs, my waist is now 34 inches and my body fat is down to 17% and dropping. My primary trainers, Russell and Isaac have kept me motivated and raised the level of my expectations past what I ever thought I could do! I have trained at serval gyms in NYC and have never gotten these results. The friendly and knowledgeable staff, along with their desire to help their clients achieve their goals, makes Trinity Boxing Club the best place in NYC to attain the results you desire! I want to truly thank the Trinity Boxing Club and their AMAZING trainers for getting me into the best physical condition I have been in the last 10 years!" - Ronald Crockett
"For sixteen years I was a professional ballet dancer and I say with conviction that my fitness as a dancer pales in comparison to the shape I am now in, as a result of training at Trintiy Boxing Club."- Leslie Judge, Sales Associate, Corcoran
"I always had an interest in boxing, but never had the opportunity to follow up on that interest. Thanks to Martin and John Snow for inviting me down to the Trinity Boxing Club. From the first workout I knew this was going to be somethng I would want to continue. I leave my workouts knowing I''m doing something good for my health. I don''t even need to put in long hours to feel the benefits of it. Their trainers are always helpful and patient. I have a lot more respect and dedication for the sport. The atmosphere at Trinity Boxing is always professional and watching the other members workout hard only motivates you to do the same." - Eric Parker
"About 6 months ago I joined Trinity Boxing, looking to trim my body a bit, have fun and also learn something new. Well after just a few sessions I was hooked. All I talked about at work and at home was about how great Trinity Boxing is and how much fun it is to hit a heavy bag. Of course Trinity Boxing is much more than just hitting the bags. it is extreme cardio exercise in a fast paced environment, where you are constantly challenged by learning different combinations. The trainers are AWESOME and there is plenty of equipment. One of my favorite things about the club is that as soon as you walk in, your workout begins. Trinity BoxingClub rocks!" - Oliver Malik
"in my mid- 20s I signed up at a boxing gym for a 4- week class to learn how to defend myself. I was not at all what I would consider an athlete. I thought I''d pick up the basics and that would be the end of it. Instead, I fell in love with boxing. Like any relationship, what you get out of it depends what you put into it. Boxing is tough, brutal, punishing, and unforgiving... and those are just the workouts. But it gives me so much more than it takes from me. In my 20th year of training, 7 of them at Waterfront and Trinity, I am more self- confident, motivated, focused. Most important, I now consider myself an athlete. I can''t wait to go to Trinity after work and after 7 years, that''s saying alot. I''ve trained at many gyms, and I keep comng back to Trinity because of the people. For me Trinity is three things rolled into one: my home, my office, and my place of worship." - Kieran O''Leary, Lead Developer, The Depository Trust & Clearing Corp
"After being treated for Hodgkins Lymphoma at age 22, I was not feeling particularly healthy, so I started competing in marathons and triathlons. I became increasingly bored after the endless miles of each event, so I went looking for a new workout that was going to challenge me not only physically but mentally. Thankfully I found the Trinity Boxing Club. After a year and a half, I can honestly say, I feel better than ever. I stand taller, hold my head higher and look forward to hitting the gym... or the bags... or Sergiy! Many thanks to Trinity, for making me into what I always knew I was... a FIGHTER." - Julie Anne Kelly Product Marketing Manager, Hearst-Argyle Television Inc
"I started boxing to improve my strength and overall conditioning. When I first joined Trinity I thought I was expected to spar everytime I was there. But that is not the case at all. You can spar as much as you like or not at all. I took lessons with Martin Snow and a few other instructors and learned quite a bit without ever having to spar. I have learned a lot from Trinity and it has made me stronger and quicker. i achieved the results I was looking for and it was all done in a fun atmosphere. When you start the gym, you have to set a goal for yourself. My goal was to KO my nemesis Martin Snow. I am still waiting for the opportunity!" - Bruno DeBueriis
"I turned to boxing because I needed a change in my workout routine and boxing seemed like it would be fun. i was hoping to improve my upper body strength and overall physical health. I was a bit intimidated going into a boxing gym but Trinity is so unpretentious. All the trainers are supportive and nice. This helped alleviate a lot of my doubts. I definitely feel a change in my body. I''ve worked out harder here than I normally would, because their traners push me to do more. My upper body is stronger than it''s ever been and I''m in better shape overall. Trinity gives you a great workout, while you get support from other members and their great staff. Overall it''s just an unintimidation environment." - Evelyn So Jason Marks Talent Management
"i first showed up to the gym in January 2001, looking to lose some weight and get back in shape. I knew I''d get bored with the treadmills and barbells, so I wanted a sport that would keep me interested well past the first signs of improvement. I weighed 180 lbs when I started but by the following March I was down to 135 and fighting in my first exhibition. I''ve been boxing ever since. The great thing with Trinity is that they grow with you. When i just wanted to lose weight, they tailored my workouts to focus on cardio and strength. When I fell for the sport, they shifted to more technique, and more sparring. As I grew better over the years, they kept challenging me to go beyond what they knew I could do. That''s the thing about Trinity- the trainers watch you closely enough to know when you''re phoning in the workout. I can''t think of a better place to learn how to box than with the folks at Trinity. I started out just curious, just wanting to get in shape and ended up fighting in the 2007 Golden Gloves." -Rob Kotecki
"The only apprehension I had about joining a boxing gym was since I had no knowledge of boxing, I didn''t know if I could learn it. The staff, trainers and management at Trinity have been excellent. They took their time to teach me the basics... AND they remember who I am when I show up! I know now that what I don''t know about boxing can fill a book. And that''s good because I know there''s so much more I can learn from the trainers at Trinity Boxing and never get bored with it." - Ken McGinis
"I sought boxing primarily to lose weight and keep myself in good shape. I find boxing so much more entertaining than working out in a local gym. Lifting weights for hours tends to be a bit boring. I grew up watching matches and playing video games of Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield and Roy Jones Jr. Boxing has always been one of those sports you always wanted to try but it''s hard to find the right place to train. I think Trinity Boxing Club offers the right service to a casual boxing fan like myself. I feel great about joining the gym. The trainers are nice and willing to help you workout as hard as you can. Workout times are flexible. I''ve learned so many new workouts and after every workout, I leave feeling lighter and faster. I''ve tried many other sports like tennis, taekwondo and kendo, but boxing by far has offered me the best workout experience. I was concernec about sparring since I had a chin surgery a few years ago. Once I stepped into the ring, wearing full gear, it was a great experience where I felt completely safe. As long as you and your trainer are careful, it is completely safe and fun! I think the best part of boxing is that it trains you excessively in a balanced way. Just by punching the bags you sweat alot, while training your upper and lower body at the same time. Whether you''re hitting the bags or sparring, you need to think on your feet and come up with a strategy. It''s a great sport where you train yourself to be strong both physically and mentally." - Eugene Kim
" I sought out boxing because I wanted to challenge myself physically
and mentally. i''ve been around athletics my entire life and have
always heard that boxing workouts were the ultimate tests for athletes.
My number one goal when I joined Trinity Boxing was to reshape my body.
The year prior to joining, I had quit working out entirely and had
become severly out of shape. Further, in college my workout focus
shifted from athletic training to body building. As a result, I had
developed a bunch of useless body mass. I wanted to get rid of it. As a
result of joining Trinity I feel great! i have been a member for four
months and in that period i have lost weight, added strength,
endurance, agility, and just feel alot better both physically and
mentally. To anyone considereing joining Trinity, I would say just do
it! I love going to Trinity everyday and can not imagine my life
without it. Their trainers make the experience what it is. They are
dedicated, smart, intense and will give you everything they have if you
are willing to work. - Brian Stigler, FAI Construction Consultants
"After a bad breakup I thought... hmmm boxing sounds like a great way
to get out the frustration. And I have been doing it ever since!
Through boxing I was hoping to improve my health, reshape my body,
lower my stress level and expand my group of friends. But I was
apprehensive about joining a boxing gym. I thought that maybe I would
look silly or would feel insecure. After my first visit at Trinity
those worries dissipated. Everyone is so friendly and the trainers make
you feel 100% confident no matter which level you''re at. And the best
of all is that the trainers really do train you. So the longer you go
the better you''ll get and the more confidence you gain! I love it! I
am definitely stronger, more social, more confident and overall
healthier. I have achieved weight loss, mental health, endurance, and
improved confidence. I would tell someone considering joining Trinity
they will NEVER dread going to the gym." - Ann Pultz
"I''ve been a member at Trinity Boxing since late 1999, when they were
called Waterfront Boxing. At the time i weighed around 220 pounds and I
only joined for the weight room and treadmill. I started to get bored
lifting weights so I started to hit the heavy bag. Slowly, I could see
the results. The pounds just melted off. About 3 years ago, Martin Snow
was training a professional boxer and he would work as a trainer while
he wasn''t training for his fights. He gave me pointers on how to hit
the bag the right way. Well one day he was sparring with some other
members and asked if I wanted to box. I said yes and was in the ring
for 2 rounds... that was it for me. I''ve never been involved with a
sport that requires everything you have. You need stamina, a little bit
of strength and most importantly, you have to think. Last time I
weighed in at 178 ponds. I didn''t lose the weight on purpose. I
didn''t change my diet, I still eat the same way I always did. Boxing
is an aerobic sport which keeps you constantly moving. If you''re
thinking about joining this gym, don''t think... just join. You won''t
be pressured into going inside the ring and trade punches if you don''t
want to. The best part are the trainers and the gym members. There''s
absolutely no attitude, unlke those muscle heads looking at themselves
in the mirror at other sports clubs. Through the help of John Snow and
all the othr trainers I''ve gained enough confidence to participate in
an upcoming event. Wish me luck!" - Joel Monta
"My work schedule does not give me a lot of time to excercise as freely
and consistently as I''d like, so I was looking for something fun and
with a high level of intensity. I''ve heard that boxing was a great way
to relieve stress and works out almost every muscle in your body. I
wanted to become stronger, more flexible, and improve my overall
fitness level. Since boxing techniques are some of the most physical
and intense out there, I hope to improve my overall physique and
health. At first, I was concerned about sparring and being put into the
ring prematurely and basically rush into things. But the instructors at
Trinity were extremely attentive and helped guide me through all he
basics first before moving me into more advanced techniques. Here, I''m
ableto train at my own pace and also learn something new and exciting
everyday. Although I''ve been a member for only a few months, already I
feel stronger, more agile and energetic than ever before. I also enjoy
watching boxing more since I now understand and appreciate much aof
what is going on. Across the board I''ve noticed results... in my
confidence, strength, endurance and I''ve even lost a few pounds. I
amnow well on my way to achieving the mental and physical health I need
to be in the best shape of my life. If you''re tired of mundane and
repetitive workouts and would like to try something new and exciting
you would definitely love Trinity Boxing Club. The workouts are
rigorous and the trainers are each so attentive that it''s almost like
having 4 different personal trainers in one session. You''ll have a
blast while getting a terrific workout." - Tom Nuculovic
"As everyone knows, exercise is good for you. But to benefit from
exercise, you must do it in a regular and consistent manner.
Unfortunately, exercise can be extremely repetitive and can quickly
become boring. Not so with boxing. The first time you cross the ropes
into the ring to spar, you discover just how unboring boxing is.
Typical gym exercises are inherently solitary activities. It''s you and
the weights, you and the machine, you and the track. Boxing on the
other hand is between you and a competitor, hopefully friendly. The
exercises associated with this sport are not the main focus of your
efforts. Rather, the techniques and skills, collectively called boxing,
are what you concentrate on. It turns out that to be good at boxing you
must be in good condition. To be in good condition, you must excercise.
So, you will exercise a lot in order to be able to box well. In my
case, to box well I had to quit smoking cigarettes and change my diet a
little. I have quit and don''t regret the change for a moment. After
smoking for 40 years I have been smoke free for 2.5 years. My waist
size has gone from a 40 to 36 and my weight has dropped from 234 to 216
pounds. The trainers at Trinity Boxing are licensed professionals
boxers (past and present) who take good care of you in the areas of
boxing technique and conditioning (strength and endurance). In a way,
when you join Trinity, you are joining a club not a gym. There is a
sense of belonging to something special. This feeling helps keep you
being consistent with your efforts. This feeling is missing in the
typical gym. To anyone considering joining Trinity , I would say you
will look upon exercise in a whole different way and you will not be
bored by it." - - Bob Doyle
When I was 6 months pregnant with my second child, I moved downtown. I
used to pass Trinity everyday on my walk from the subway to my
apartment. I would stop and look in the window. The clients looked
so tough! I had always worked out. I belonged to my share of gyms.
I ran and participated in triathlons. But this looked so amazing. As
I grew bigger and more out of shape with each pregnant month, I vowed
I would join Trinity the day after I gave birth. OK, so maybe not the
DAY after...but as soon as possible. And that I did. My first day,
one of the trainers took me aside to do conditioning exercises. He
wanted me to do sit-ups, and lots of them. I kindly reminded him that
this was my first day back at a gym; that I had a newborn at home;
that I had no abdominal muscles to speak of. He didn''t care much. My
son is now 20 months and I am in the best shape of my life. I got my
pre-pregancy body back and then some. I workout at the gym and I
workout with the owner, Martin Snow. He takes me through the most
insane exercises: 45 minutes of medicine ball handball followed by a
45 minute workout. Sprinting in a hurricane with a parachute
attached to my waist. Barking out exercises while he pushes my baby
in his stroller. Need I say more? Get your butt to Trinity. There
is just no other place like it!

Working out with Martin and the rest of the guys at Trinity Boxing has
been an incredible experience. I''ve lost weight, I''ve put on muscle,
and I feel more athletic than I ever have. I have more energy
throughout the day, and I genuinely feel better about myself. Trinity
Boxing has opened my eyes to a whole new way of exercising... I''ve
tried everything: regular gyms, personal trainers, running mile after
mile, videotapes with exercise balls and resistance ropes...it''s the
most challenging workout I have ever done, and at the same time the
most rewarding. NOTHING compares to the workout you get at Trinity
Boxing. If you want to change the way you feel, the way you look, or
just the way you think about exercise, you HAVE to give Martin a call!"
-Christopher J. Conover, Financier
I have been training with Martin Snow for almost nine years. Although
many things have changed for me in that time period, I have faithfully
remained one of Martin''s students through the entire stretch. In fact,
there are many ''regulars'' who, like me, thankfully travel a good
distance every day to work out at Trinity. If for some reason I had to
move to Idaho, I suspect I would still find a way to get to Trinity
every morning.
-- Robert Stark, Attorney
The second I walked into Trinity Boxing Club I knew I was in the right
place. Maybe it was the goodheartedness I saw in Martin as he greeted
me. Or, maybe it was all the inspirational quotes hanging from the
ceiling. What I didn''t know was how much my life would change by
joining the Trinity Family. As an actor living in New York the hustle
& bustle of the city had taken it''s toll on me. I would spend
every minute of everyday in a rush. I was always thinking about what I
had to do next. As I started training, I quickly learned the focus and
energy that boxing requires. When I step into the ring I can''t be
thinking about the audition I have later on that day, how my scene was
at school or what time I''m going to be able to walk my dog. Boxing
training forced me to live in the here and now. Slowly but surely, I I
found that I wasn''t in such a rush in my everyday life anymore either.
I found myself spending that extra minute on the phone with my sister
& making time to write a letter to a faraway friend. I have spent a
lifetime in athletics and I''ve never been in better shape than I am
since I''ve joined Trinity. My body looks and feels fantastic. More
importantly, I am more spiritually & emotionally grounded than I
have been in a long time. By fighting I have experienced something
I''ll never forget. There is a bond among Trinity members that is
indefinable. I have made friends that I truly love & will have
forever. Trinity Boxing Club kicks butt in everyway possible.

"I was a pretty big gym fan and very happy trudging along on my
treadmill and climbing those endless stairs until I decided to give
Trinity a try. First, boxing itself totally kicked my butt! It''s a
great workout - much better than anything I was used to do. But Trinity
itself is pretty special - everyone who works there is so colourful,
fun, trustworthy, and dynamic as human beings that it seriously
brightens my day (oh yeah, they know what they''re talking about, too).
The members are pretty awesome too - and it''s intimate enough that you
can pretty much know everyone and their life''s history! I live and
work in Midtown and have to get up at bloody 5 am but honestly it''s
worth it and I look forward to it everyday. And as a banker, lovin'' it
more than sleep is lovin'' it a lot! I would recommend Trinity to every
and anyone!"

The Wrath of Squirrel Girl
The best testimonial I''ve ever received wasn't meant to be one. I was
breaking up with a girl and asked her if she would miss me. I was both
hurt and pleased at her response-- "I can get a new boyfriend anywhere,
but where am I gonna find another gym like this?"
Thanks...I think .
